Sonam Kapoor, now Mrs Sonam K Ahuja walked the red carpet
at Cannes 2018, last evening wearing a Ralph & Russo creation. The actress
was in a mood to go ethnic and showcase some ‘Indianess’ on the French red
carpet.

Sonam gave her crop top and skirt a desi touch with a
drape falling over her right shoulder. The outfit had silver floral embroidery
all over.

What’s surprising is that Sonam didn’t let go off her
Mehendi. While many thought that she would conceal it or get it removed for her
Cannes appearances, Sonam decided otherwise and took to the red carpet
flaunting it confidently.
Talking about her hairdo, well, it did go well with her
look but I would have probably preferred to see her in loose curls, instead of
a straight sleek braid. She accessorised her braid with a parandi, which again
added the desi twist to her look.

I loved the outfit and the way Sonam carried herself, but
again if her hair were styled differently, she would have been a ten on ten!
Nonetheless, Mrs Ahuja rocked the show.

Her second appearance for the night, for the charity
dinner was a simple frock dress in green and red shimmer by Delpozo. There was
a net drape over her shoulders and waist down the outfit was full of red and
green flowers.

She left her hair loose and straight for this one and
carried a classy red clutch by Jimmy Choo.
Overall, a sweet attempt.
Sonam will be walking the red carpet tonight as
well. So, let’s see which route does she take this time- desi, videsi or a
fusion like last night?
